Our Approach to Archaeological Education
We’re not your typical educators. We are professional archaeologists trained in science communication; we create interpretations based on cutting-edge research and bring them to life in ways that resonate with real-world audiences.
Our archaeological storytelling centers on human interests and is balanced with archaeological data and traditional knowledge, when appropriate. We customize each event based on the size, ages, and the interests of the audience.

Social Media and Digital Outreach
HDHR produces social media content across platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, using storytelling to highlight the histories and significance of cultural items and the importance of their return. When appropriate, specific repatriation cases are shared in a generalized format to illustrate the process and its impact.
Archaeologist-led Tours, Hikes, and Workshops
HDHR offers workshops, presentations, field trips, and talks, focused on current archaeological research, cultural heritage preservation, and the role of repatriation. These efforts help build a more informed public and create pathways for future engagement with collectors, donors, and partners.
If you or your organization are interested in partnering to create an event, please contact Elizabeth Hora at elizabeth@highdesertheritage.com.
